Our Why.

The fireline is only part of the story.

Wildland firefighters answer the call when others need them most. But their work reaches beyond the fireline—to the families who wait, the communities they protect, and the people who carry its weight long after the shift ends.

When support matters most.

No family should have to face the unexpected alone.

WHEN INJURY CHANGES EVERYTHING

When a firefighter is seriously injured, the focus shifts from the assignment to recovery. Families may need to travel, find a place to stay, or manage unexpected expenses while supporting someone they love.

WHEN LOSS LEAVES A VOID

When a firefighter loses their life in the line of duty, the impact reaches far beyond the immediate moment. Families, friends, and fellow firefighters must find a way forward. Support matters long after the headlines fade.

Why we show up.

This is personal to us.

In Montana, wildland fire is part of life. We know the people who answer the call and the communities they protect.

As the Gallatin Chapter of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, we bring our community together to support the firefighters and families behind that work.

We may not be on the fireline, but we can stand behind those who are.

We are neighbors, community members, and supporters who believe that caring for wildland firefighters means caring for the people and families behind them, too.

The work doesn’t end at the fireline…

Neither should our support.

On May 1, 2027, our community will come together for the Beyond the Fireline Gallatin Gala.

Join us in supporting the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and the firefighters and families it serves.

Show up for those who show up.
